Empowering Children, fulfilling life.

Physical Education Aligned to NEP & NCF

Your child receives scientific, systematic and elite training right at the school where they study, seamlessly alongside their academics..

Physical Education (PE) has gained significant importance under India’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and is further strengthened by the National Curriculum Framework (NCF). Both frameworks emphasize holistic development, recognizing that education must extend beyond academics to include physical, emotional, and social well-being. PE is now a core component of foundational learning, especially in early childhood, where movement plays a critical role in overall growth.

A key focus within this vision is the development of Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS). These are the basic movement patterns that form the foundation for all physical activities and sports. NEP and NCF strongly advocate structured FMS training during the foundational and preparatory stages (ages 3 to 8), ensuring children develop confidence, coordination, and physical literacy early in life.

FMS is built around three essential skill categories:

  • Locomotor skills: Running, jumping, hopping, skipping, and galloping that enable efficient body movement and form the base for most physical activities.
  • Stability skills: Balance, posture, and body control movements such as bending, twisting, and stretching that support coordination and injury prevention.
  • Manipulative skills: Object control movements such as throwing, catching, kicking, striking, and dribbling that are essential for sports participation.

The NCF promotes a play-based and experiential approach to developing these skills, encouraging children to learn through structured activities and guided play. This ensures inclusivity, engagement, and steady progression for children across all skill levels.
